France's emergency medical system is physician-led: SAMU (Service d'Aide Médicale Urgente) coordinates emergency medical response from hospital-based dispatch centers. SMUR (Structures Mobiles d'Urgence et de Réanimation) units carry emergency physicians to serious calls. Pompiers (fire service) provide first response. Private ambulance services handle inter-facility and scheduled transports. The médecin régulateur (SAMU physician) controls resource dispatch — a fundamentally different model from North American EMS.

Enter an address or click My location to center the map. Choose a radius — 10 miles works for urban areas, 30–50 miles for rural. Click Search area. EMS stations appear as blue markers and as a nearest-first list in the sidebar. Click any result to fly the map to that station, or tap Directions to open Google Maps navigation directly to it.

Verify station location, staffing, and service availability with the responsible agency for operational planning.
