Japan's emergency medical service is delivered by municipal fire departments using standardized nationally-designated "救急救命士" (Emergency Life-Saving Technicians — ELST) as the advanced prehospital provider. EMS is tightly integrated with hospital emergency departments through a coordinated medical control system. Japan has one of the world's highest rates of bystander CPR and AED use. Tokyo Fire Department's EMS handles over 800,000 calls per year — one of the busiest systems globally.

EMS stations appear as blue markers and as a nearest-first list in the sidebar. Click any result to fly the map to that station, or tap Directions to open Google Maps navigation directly to it.
