EMS coverage in Maine
Maine's EMS is regulated by the Maine EMS Board and the Department of Public Safety. The state has a large proportion of volunteer providers serving sparsely populated northern and western counties. LifeFlight of Maine provides critical air medical transport statewide, with helicopter bases in Bangor and Portland. Rural eastern Maine has a high rate of cardiac events with long transport times — community AED programs and dispatcher-assisted CPR are lifesaving bridges in areas with 20+ minute EMS responses.

Worldwide station coverage uses OpenStreetMap (OSM). U.S. searches are supplemented with HIFLD EMS station data to improve coverage where dedicated ambulance stations are not mapped in OSM. Results are served from AllFirefighter's local station database, with external services used only as fallback where applicable.
