EMS coverage in Washington
Washington State's EMS is regulated by the Department of Health's Office of Community Health Systems. King County EMS (KCEMS/Medic One) is internationally recognized as a model high-performance EMS system, with survival rates from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest that are among the best in the world. The Medic One Foundation's training program for first responders and the public is a national model. Rural eastern Washington and the Olympic Peninsula have significant coverage challenges addressed through a combination of county services and critical access EMS funding.

Worldwide station coverage uses OpenStreetMap (OSM). U.S. searches are supplemented with HIFLD EMS station data to improve coverage where dedicated ambulance stations are not mapped in OSM. Results are served from AllFirefighter's local station database, with external services used only as fallback where applicable.
