This ensemble typically comprises a specialized protective suit, gloves, boots, and respiratory apparatus, such as a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA). Not to be confused with standard firefighting gear, CPE offers superior impermeability and resistance to hazardous materials, making it essential for operations in Hot and Warm Zones during CBRN incidents.
