A hazardous materials response team (HMRT) is a specialized unit composed of responders who are extensively trained to manage incidents involving hazardous materials, including chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) threats. These teams utilize advanced containment and decontamination techniques, operating within established frameworks such as the Incident Command System (ICS) and National Incident Management System (NIMS).
