A breathing air cascade system is a specialized apparatus designed for refilling self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) cylinders through a network of interconnected high-pressure air tanks. This system facilitates the efficient transfer of compressed air, allowing multiple SCBA cylinders to be replenished in a systematic and controlled manner, essential during emergency response operations. Not to be confused with a direct refill system, which may not utilize a cascade approach, the cascade system is integral to maintaining operational readiness in environments governed by NIMS protocols.
