Hydraulic rescue tools, often referred to as 'Jaws of Life,' encompass a range of powered devices designed for victim extrication in emergency scenarios, particularly in vehicle accidents. These tools include hydraulic spreaders, cutters, and rams that operate using hydraulic pressure to manipulate and remove obstructions. Not to be confused with pneumatic tools, hydraulic rescue tools are integral to operations within the Incident Command System (ICS) and are vital in managing rescue efforts in the Hot Zone.
