A Wye appliance is a specialized fire hose fitting designed to bifurcate a single hose line into two separate lines, facilitating simultaneous water delivery to multiple operational zones. It features one female inlet and two male outlets, each equipped with independent valves for precise flow control. Not to be confused with a Siamese appliance, which merges two hose lines into one, the Wye appliance is essential for effective water management during fire suppression operations, particularly within the Incident Command System (ICS).
